Morning arrived quietly, but it brought no peace with it. The house that had always been filled with warmth and soft laughter now carried a strange heaviness, as if the walls themselves had witnessed something they could not forget. Even the sunlight entering through the large windows felt dull, unable to bring life back into the silence that had settled overnight.

Upstairs, Sana slowly opened her eyes. For a few moments, she simply lay there, her gaze unfocused, her body feeling heavier than usual. Her head throbbed faintly, and her limbs felt weak, as if all her strength had been drained away. She tried to sit up, but the moment she moved, a sudden wave of memories crashed into her.
